Welcome to the Tournaments section! This section is one your one stop shop for all information on the tournaments running at the event, also any pre event qualifiers that we run on-line.

Each tournament is listed below, allowing you sign-up, read tournament rules, view your matches & results and also connect to the IRC channel for the tournament. You will also find information on the admins, so you can find them if you have any problems.

SC2 - Sapphire Online Cup

Multiplay are proud to present the Sapphire Online Cup for Starcraft 2!

We launch our first online Starcraft 2 tournament – and we have some fantastic prizes to win. Thanks to Sapphire we have 2 graphics cards to give away, the Radeon HD 6870 Dirt 3 Edition, and for second place the Radeon HD 6770. Also 1st prize will win £100 and second prize will win £50.

This tournament is taking place on the 26th and the 27th of October 2011 and will be open to up to 256 players – but watch out these prizes are pretty awesome so sign up now to avoid dissapointment!

FIFA 12 Xbox

A stalwart tournament in the Insomnia Gaming Festival line up, FIFA 12 brings great football action to the event for both BYOC and TUP gamers alike! The prize pool will depend on how many players attend, at £20 per player, make sure you get your friends involved, and you could make this tournament massive!

 

 

Please all make sure you know when your tournament starts. The LAN starts at 9am so please make sure you are there with plenty of time to be set up, warmed up and ready to play BEFORE your tournament games begin.

FIFA is scheduled for Sunday 20th of November. Signups close at 10:30am. The tournament starts shortly after.

1) Turn up to the event. You can enter this tournament with either a BYOC ticket, or just simply turn up as a spectator for the day (£5), and join the tournament.

2) Find our TUP Xbox360 area before 10:30am – and talk to Dave (from Sweetpatch.tv) – he should be easy to find.

3) Sign up and play! There is a £20 entry fee which goes straight into the prizepool.

4) Tournament starts at 11am – so don’t be late!

Battlefield 3 6v6

DICE and EA’s epic battlefield shooter has hit the ground running, and as we have seen with our online servers it is incredibly popular. We could not miss the chance to have a tournament at i44.

With £1000 prize pot for this initial tournament, we expect many teams of hopefuls with this brand new game to come and show us how good they are with some paddles/rockets/repair tools. The format will be 6v6 infantry Conquest.

Signups Open!

1) Make sure you are a BYOC Ticket holder for i44!

2) Click Signups in the menu above!

3) Select the appropriate Tab for your tournament, be that prize winning or simply fun.

4) Create a new team in the left hand box with “Not Entered” written in by typing in the name of the team into the box. Click Save in the bottom left. If you already have a team signed up (a friend/team mate has completed this step) then skip to the step below.

5) If you already have a team entered select that team in the right hand box that has “Not Entered” in it. This box is a drop down menu where you will be able to select your team, if previously created. Select your team, click save in the bottom left.

6) Play some games at LAN! ;)

IPL 4 SC2

Multiplay are very proud to present the IPL 4 (IGN Pro League) UK Qualifiers, at our November LAN event, insomnia44! Featuring Starcraft 2, the IPL tournament will be a combination of players qualifying from the Insomnia Multiplay Starcraft 2 tournament and invited pro players.

You can qualify to enter this tournament by coming top 16 in our Multiplay 1v1 Starcraft 2 Tournament at insomnia44 during the Friday and Saturday.

Those top 16 will then play against top pro players from around Europe, and 4 players from 2 online qualifiers hosted by IGN (TBA) for the prize pool of $20,000, and a coveted spot in IPL 4 in the US next year!

For those of you who saw the coverage of our iiyama Minecraft competition from insomnia43, you will have seen some of the amazing creations made by the entrants of the competition. For insomnia44 we expect to see bigger and better grand designs on our plots of 100×100 blocks!

We are hosting a Tekken 6 tournament at i44 on Saturday the 19th November at 11am – you can bring your fighting spirit and take on all comers to earn yourself a whopping £1000!

For a second appearence League of Legends makes its way back to the iSeries! With a huge following this is sure to be a very competitive tournament! Now with a minimum guaranteed prize pot of £2k!

Starcraft 2

Starcraft 2 seems to be the most popular game on the planet right now, and so it once again returns to the Insomnia Festival for a fifth time, this time with a difference!

IGN are at i44 with the IPL4 qualifiers, and you could be in with a chance to play vs some of the best players in Europe (and the world!) by qualifying in the top 16 of this tournament! Do well in the Sunday tournament, and you could win a share of the $20,000 prize pool and possibly an invite spot to IPL 4 in the US!
