Congratulations to BigClan for winning the World of Tanks final today!
Hosted by A_Spec and Geosnipe, The final was an intense best out of 7 rounds between BigClan and Tommy Tankers.
The first round took place in Lakeville with BigClan firing the first shots and pushing dominance from early on in the game. With the first round lasting barely minutes, BigClan managed to force the Tommy Tankers into an early defeat.
The second round started slower, giving the chance for Tommy Tankers to take the lead. However, even though the Tommy Tankers seemed to be making a slow comeback, the round still ended in victory for BigClan.
For the third round, the map changed to Ruinberg, and the teams took a moment to discuss a plan of attack. The Tommy Tankers attempted to rush BigClan by taking on tanks one at a time. The Tommy Tankers were doing much better than the first round, seeming to prefer longer battles to the shorter ones. Unfortunately for the Tommy Tankers, BigClan were still the more dominant team, and once again were victorious, making it 3 wins in a row for BigClan.
The fourth round was an intense one, as it was Tommy Tankers last chance to win a round a keep themselves in the tournament. The Tommy Tankers took advantage of the longer battle time, and seemed much more comfortable in their abilities than the first round. However, BigClan dominated managing to win their fourth round in a row.
BigClan will now get the chance to travel to China to take part in the World Cyber Games World of Tanks tournament! Thanks to both BigClan and Tommy Tanks for an exciting match.

You need 7 players per team, including 1 subsitute if a player is unable to go to China. If you have an expired passport you can enter the tournament, however if you win at insomnia46 this weekend then you will need to renew it before travel.
All tanks will be unlocked, and each player will have unlimited gold and up to tier 8 available.
Signups will close at 9am tomorrow, with the briefing shortly after in the WoT Arena. Matches will start at 10am.

The three games involved will be Starcraft 2, FIFA12 and World of Tanks, all on the PC format. For Starcraft 2 and World of Tanks, win a direct qualification to the World Cyber Games global final in Kunshan, China and for FIFA12, get pre-qualification for the UK Finals day in London at Eurogamer Expo.

Starcraft 2 – Samsung World Cyber Games UK Final – supported by Roccat
Take part in our 256 man BYOC tournament at Insomnia46 starting on Friday 24th August. The tournament will begin at 18:00 and will find the UK WCG champion, who will earn a place at the global final in China! This tournament is open to all comers, the highest finishing UK player will determine who is going to the WCG final.

World of Tanks – Samsung World Cyber Games UK Final
Enter our 7v7 world of tanks tournament to find out who is the UK’s best tank battalion, and earn a trip for 7 players to the global finals in China!
Date: Friday August 24th (This tournament will not complete in one day. Please make arrangements to be available Saturday if you qualify that far). Time: 3pm How to enter: You must sign up on the tournament page. Maximum 16 teams. Restrictions: You must be a VALID UK passport holder to enter. Bring it with you and show the tournament staff. FIFA12 – Samsung World Cyber Games UK Pre-qualifier
For FIFA12 things are a little bit different. Each day we will be hosting a pre-qualifier tournament, where you can earn 4 of the 16 slots in the UK finals tournament on Sunday 30th September at Eurogamer. This will not be the last qualifier, but it will be your best chance. With other qualifiers taking place in Samsung brand stores in the UK and last minute qualifiers available during Eurogamer itself (both TBA), but the most places will be available to Insomnia attendees.
Date: Friday August 24th, Saturday August 25th and Sunday August 26th Time: Midday each day How to enter: Speak to Dave Witts at the FIFA12 stand at Insomnia46 to register your name before the deadline (midday). Maximum 32 players each day. Restrictions: You must be a VALID UK passport holder to enter, bring this with you to sign up. You must also have any ticket to Insomnia46. This is a Free to Enter tournament, open to all UK residents with a passport (Passport is a requirement to get the trip to China).
