Indie Zone

The Insomnia Gaming Festival's Indie Zone offers independent developers the chance to show case their game to thousands of attendees over each of our events.

We offer a brandable space in our dedicated zone, along with a PC, monitor and peripherals, all for free. All we ask in return is that you bring your game in a playable state for our attendees to enjoy and give you valuable feedback. Many Indie Developers come back time and time again because of the quality of interaction and feedback our attendees offer.

If this interests you, then please fill in our application form. You will be contacted 2 months before the event with whether your application has been accepted.

Multiplay has been taking volunteers to gaming events for over 20 years and it’s a fantastic way to give your time and have a great time doing it. Whether you steward or work on the festivals infrastructure you will be joining a team of hundreds, united by a love of gaming.

There are two teams that help to run the Insmonia Ireland from stewarding to infrastructure. Please refer to the list below to see more details about each team at the event.

  • Green Team – Stewarding and queue management. The Green Team is a great place to start if you are new to volunteering at Insomnia. As the team covers a lot of different areas, it will give you to change to see what the event is all about.
  • Orange Team – The orange Team work closely with our logistics staff to build and break the event. The orange Team do carry out physically demanding work and are the central hub for all logistics at Insomnia. Steel toe cap boots are mandatory for this team and are not provided.

To apply as a volunteer at the Insomnia Gaming Festival, you must be 18 or older.

  • It is your responsibility to make sure you have been correctly signed in and out at the beginning of your shift by your own team.
  • You must complete the shifts that have been allocated to you over the event. These may vary in length and event zone.
