It is now mere hours until you join us for over 4 days of pure LAN gaming! Insomnia Gaming Festival #i70 is almost upon us!
This is your pre-event information email and contains everything you need to know about what to bring, where to go and where to find out more information. Make sure you read this email carefully to get fully clued up. We can’t wait to welcome you all back!
BYOC CHECK-IN WHERE, WHEN & WHAT TO DO?
BYOC Check-in outside Hall 4,
*Check-in moves to LAN Help desk inside Hall 4 for Saturday through to Monday.
**If you have a BYOC standard ticket & wish to attend on Thursday you can pay £20 on the check-in to upgrade to a BYOC Plus ticket.
If you need access out of these times go to the BYOC main hall doors and head to the LAN Helpdesk, Please Note the LAN help desk is closed between 2am and 8am. In the case of an emergency please contact security at the entrance to the BYOC hall.
ARRIVAL
Parking Changes – If you are arriving by car please head to the BYOC Car Park in East 1. You will need to purchase a parking pass prior to your arrival through the [NEC Website] (https://www.thenec.co.uk/visitors/parking-at-the-nec/).
When purchasing your Parking ticket you need to select INSOMNIA70 BYOC as your event option & only purchase parking for the day you arrive and not for the full duration of the event. Parking for BYOC for the whole event is £5.
On entry to East 1, the traffic officers will ask to see your BYOC parking ticket reference (via phone or print out), the officer will then give you a parking ticket to put in your windscreen which validates your parking for the whole event.
Once parked you can get a bus from East 1 bus stop and get dropped at the piazza main entrance or you can wait until 4pm and use the BYOC Drop off area available via Gate 1. The BYOC Drop off area is closer to the halls but you will have a limited time to take your equipment into the LAN and then move your car back to BYOC Parking in East 1.
Shuttle Bus: Dedicated shuttle buses will be running from East 1 to the piazza entrance on Thursday 11:00-22:00 | Friday 09:00-18:00 | Monday 09:00-17:00
BYOC Check-in is next to hall 4 entrance, and is open for you from Thursday 12pm.
The BYOC hall itself opens Thursday 6pm, with a pre-holding area opening at 4pm.
CASHLESS ON SITE
Cash machines will not be available at the NEC during Insomnia weekend. All our food vendors, Marketplace stalls and services will be available to pay by debit or credit card. If you require cash, the nearest machines are available at the Train Station or Resorts World.
TROLLEY RENTALS!
Tired of carrying your equipment to and from the car? Well, we hear you and would like to introduce the New BYOC Trolley Rental Service! For £6 you can hire a trolley for 45 minutes to help your tired arms. Available from the BYOC check-in just rent one at the event. Terms and conditions apply, prompt return of the trolley would be appreciated.
BYOC Plus and Premium ticket holders get trolley rental at a reduced price of £5.
WHAT TO BRING
Your ticket with a clearly visible barcode: print the ticket out, or display it on a handheld device like a smartphone or a tablet ID is required for ALL BYOC ticket holders and you won’t be able to check in without it!
Under the age of 18? Make sure to fill out our “Under 18 Consent Form” which can be found here completing this beforehand will speed up your check-in.

Don’t forget to download the Insomnia Event Guide App! Head to the App Store or Google Play to download the “Insomnia Gaming Festival” app, for free. The Insomnia Event App will act as your event guide over the weekend making sure you have all the maps, stage schedules, esports schedules, what’s on and general information that you might need!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
SECURITY STICKERS: Once your ticket is scanned, you will be issued with a lanyard, wristband and three security stickers: one for your lanyard badge, one for your monitor, and one for your PC/Laptop/Console. Please do this as soon as you can as not doing so will add a delay when you try to leave the event.
SECURITY CHECKS: Expect all bags, coats and computer equipment to be checked by security staff, to maintain the safety and welfare of all attendees at the event. Note that we do not allow alcohol into the event from outside, and we operate a zero-tolerance policy on drugs.
POWER SURGE PROTECTION
All equipment brought to the event which plugs into the LAN power network must be used with a surge-protected 4-way power extension. This is a safety guideline to protect your equipment from electrical damage.

This event has a huge range of competitive activities for you to cut your teeth on! From casual LAN tournaments to Intermediate brackets the challenging iSeries Open tournaments and the biggest UK Valorant LAN tournament ever – you should find something at your level.
For those of you more into a high-end competition, and fancy trying to earn some of the big cash prizes there is our brand new £10,000 Valorant iSeries Challenge tournament which is open for qualification on the Friday. Alternatively there are 4 iSeries Open titles available – 5v5 CS:GO, 5v5 League of Legends, 5v5 Overwatch 2, or the 3v3 Rocket League. The deadline for signing up for these is 11:00 on Friday morning and they all start at 12:00.
For those not looking for the grandest prizes but do enjoy competing with people of a similar skill level, give our Intermediate tournaments a try – sign-ups will be live during the first day of the event and will be available for all 5 of our main titles.
Finally, there are our LAN Casual tournaments, much shorter competitions, these all run on various days and with small prizes and smaller teams, these are for those competitively curious that want to have a fun challenge and maybe win more chances at the raffle! There are so many to choose from: Fall Guys, Golf With Your Friends, Teamfight Tactics, Starcraft 2, Legends of Runeterra, Apex Legends, Halo Infinite, PUBG, Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege!!

There’s plenty to quaff and scoff at Insomnia70 at the various on-site food outlets. Additionally, there are several bars on-site serving drinks, and a Starbucks to satisfy your early morning cravings or head over to Resorts World.
ORDER AWAY – As a LAN attendee you will have access to the food delivery service, OrderAway, Simply scan the QR code at the event and order delicious food and drinks directly to your LAN deck.
Londis is now open 24/7 for the duration of insomnia70, with a wide range of drinks & snacks to additional items you might need for a festival like toothbrushes and shower gel. Catering for everyone, all day and now all night!

If you are arriving by car please head to Gate 1, show the security guard your ticket and they will direct you to the VIP parking area. Please make sure you only park there and nowhere else. Your parking is covered in your ticket so you do not need to purchase a parking pass for the event.
BYOC Check-in is next to the hall 4 entrance, and is open for you from Thursday 9am.
As a BYOC VIP ticket holder you will have a priority check-in desk for you to get checked in first, so head to the front and look for the priority check-in section.

As a BYOC VIP ticket holder, you will also have the ability to drop off your equipment with the helpdesk and have it taken to your desk from 4pm to 6pm, just go to the helpdesk when you are in the hall and we will take care of the rest.

CHECKING IN
Check-in is at the BYOC check-in near Hall 4. Check-in opening hours are:
Thursday 12:00 – 22:00*
Friday 10:00 – 19:00*
*Check-in moves to BYOC Help Desk outside of these hours for 24/7 access.
Once you have your wristband, you can access the campsite 24/7, until closure on Monday at 17:00. Note the campsite rules and that no alcohol is permitted in the campsite. If the campsite is closed ask for the on-site Duty Manager and they will try and help you, they will be dealing with other matters throughout the event so may take time to get to you.
WHAT YOU NEED

CAMP BEDS
If you require something to sleep on or don’t want to pack a bed, we have camp beds available to rent for £10.
These are available to book here
Camp Beds can be collected from Hall 1 (the camping hall) from Thursday 25th at 13:00.
These will need to be returned by Monday 10th at 17:00 to the Volunteers Office in Hall 1.

LONDIS 24-HOUR
Londis is now open 24/7 for the duration of Insomnia70, with a wide range of drinks & snacks to additional items you might need for a festival like toothbrushes and shower gel. Catering for everyone, all day and now all night!

This is your pre-event information email and contains everything you need to know about what to bring, where to go and where to find out more information. Make sure you read this email carefully to get fully clued up. We can’t wait to welcome you all back!
CHECK-IN WHERE & WHEN & WHAT DO?
As you already have a ticket check-in is straight through the main show doors at hall 2. Doors to the queuing hall open at 9am with access to the show at 10:30am (10:00 for Priority ticket holders)
What you need:
Your ticket with a clearly visible barcode: print the ticket out to speed getting in, or display it on a handheld device like a smartphone or a tablet.
Day Visitors – Once your ticket has been scanned you will get hand-stamped and directed to watch the standing stage show whilst you wait.
Weekend Visitors – ID is required for all weekend ticket holders ensuring we give you the correct wristband, if you do not have ID you will be given an under-18 wristband until you can validate your ID.
INSOMNIA EVENT GUIDE APP
Don’t forget to download the Insomnia Event Guide App! Head to the App Store or Google Play to download the “Insomnia Gaming Festival” app, for free. The Insomnia Event App will act as your event guide over the weekend making sure you have all the maps, stage schedules, esports schedules, what’s on and general information that you might need!
SECURITY CHECKS
Please expect bags to be checked by security staff, to maintain the safety and welfare of all attendees at the event. Note that we do not allow alcohol into the event from outside, and we operate a zero-tolerance policy on drugs.
CASHLESS ON SITE
Cash machines will not be available at the NEC during Insomnia weekend. All our food vendors, Marketplace stalls and services will be available to pay by debit or credit card. If you require cash, the nearest machines are available at the Train Station or Resorts World.
PARKING
Parking for Day and Weekend Ticket holders is in the East Car Parks. A parking permit costs £5 per day and is only available to book online. More information can be found on the NEC website. Book parking here.
FOOD AND DRINK
There’s plenty to quaff and scoff at Insomnia70 at the various on-site food outlets. Additionally, there are several bars on-site serving drinks, and a Starbucks to satisfy your early morning cravings or head over to Resorts World.

CHECKING IN
Check-in is located via Hall 2, the main Insomnia Entrance. Please remember to bring your ticket either printed or on your mobile device with the barcode clearly visible.
As a reminder, the Pub Quiz is strictly 18+ and you will be required to show ID
The Dark Room is 14+, ID will not be required for those under 18, however, this will be at the digression of NEC Security and Player1 Events Staff.
DRINKS
Please be aware, no open containers will be able to be brought from the Hall 4 after-hours bars to Hall 2 entrance for the Pub Quiz or Dark Room. Any drinks will need to be ordered via Order Away or purchased from the bar after check-in.
