Listen up, Vault Hunters! The celebration of all things Borderlands continues at Insomnia with Round Three of the 10 Years of Borderlands Cosplay Competition.
The contest has been launched to celebrate the community of cosplayers who’ve created amazing Borderlands costumes, props, weapons and make-up styles since the franchise’s inception in 2009.
‘I met my bestest friend of the last 10 years through Borderlands cosplay, so it’s a series close to my heart. It’s such a friendly community, probably one of the friendliest ones I’ve been part of,’ said Ceri Cosplay, cosplaying one of the striking new villains: Tyreen Calypso.
With a wide array of weird and wonderful characters, the Borderlands series has really captured the imaginations of the creative community. The series’ distinctive art style, filled with bold and vibrant colours, and striking character designs have proven highly popular with cosplayers over the years.
Whether you’re a long-time fan of the franchise, or coming in new to the series with this year’s Borderlands 3, you’ll love the creations of the Borderlands cosplay family – a.k.a. the Borderfam. The contest encourages any Borderlands-inspired cosplay, from the new Vault Hunters (Amara, FL4K, Moze, and Zane) and villains (Troy and Tyreen Calypso) to well-loved characters from previous games like Handsome Jack, Mordecai, Mad Moxxi, and Patricia Tannis.
